FROM EVERETT. FOR EVERETT.
I believe in the good of this City and the possibilities before us. District 1 needs a voice on the Council that knows Everett and truly cares about the interests, values, and concerns of our residents. Let's write Everett's next chapter together.
Senator June Robinson
“Erica Weir loves Everett! She’ll work to keep Everett a truly unique and special place to live by supporting our small businesses, outdoor spaces, and making Everett a safe and inclusive place for all.”
Jane C. McClure
“Erica balances her passion to serve with the patience and people skills necessary to allow for differing viewpoints while not shrinking from controversy.”
vision & Priorities
Balanced bUDGET
City Council must work to find creative and viable solutions to the current budget deficit.
Increase revenue through economic growth and development.
Explore partnerships with the potential for less municipal spending while providing greater services throughout our community.
Enhance transparency and responsibility in City spending, so citizens can feel confident in how their money is put to work.
Affordable housing & Pathways to ownership
It’s no secret that housing costs have soared and show no sign of reversing. The City of Everett’s 2044 Comprehensive Plan anticipates 65,000 new residents over the next 20 years, but home ownership is out of reach for many current residents, and affordable rental property for families and seniors is scarce.
The geography of Everett requires careful planning to accommodate growth, protect our natural resources and watersheds, and maintain the unique integrity of our many neighborhoods.
The city must strategically and responsibly develop a range of affordable housing types.
Economic vitality &
VIbrant City
North Everett is a true gateway to our city and economic driver. From our incredible Port to our Downtown, exciting things are happening here! We are seeing an influx of businesses and individuals that recognize this and are choosing to invest in our city.
Continue this positive momentum by supporting our existing businesses and ensuring their success, while attracting new businesses to Everett.
Capitalize on the growth of our Creative Economy by uplifting restaurants, music venues, theatre, visual arts, creators and makers.
Increase sustainability of events that build tourism and show off all the fantastic amenities Everett has to offer and ensure a diverse and accessibility variety of events for all citizens of Everett.
Increase access to apprenticeship programs that will help grow our local workforce.
SAFEty in the community
The people of Everett need to feel safe in their neighborhoods and public spaces.
Find compassionate and realistic ways to support those dealing with housing instability, addiction and mental health crises by exploring models and partnerships that provide services such as supportive housing and wrap around programs.
Focus on public safety, working closely with our businesses, community members, and 1st responders, so our downtown, parks, schools, and neighborhoods feel safe.
Adequately staff open first responder positions and grow community support resources beyond police officers with park ranger positions, security teams, and social workers that are empowered and educated to respond quickly, compassionately, and effectively to safety concerns.
Livability &
Quality of Life
Everett residents deserve a city where families can live, work, and play in their own community, and be proud to call it home.
Make quality, affordable childcare and early learning programs available to families in Everett.
Protect the beauty and natural resources that distinguish out city from other communities.
Enhance our parks and public amenities and ensure they are clean, accessible, and welcoming to all.
Support community groups and neighborhood associations to give citizens avenues to participate and build relationships locally.
Everett is such a special place, full of heart and character. It's so important that our City Council includes voices that truly reflect the interests, values, and concerns of everyone who calls this community home. We need to hear from all neighborhoods and ensure that every resident feels seen and heard.
My deep love and commitment to Everett make me proud to be a strong advocate for District 1. Having lived here my whole life, I understand both the challenges we face and the amazing progress we've made – plus all the potential that’s still ahead of us.
I would be honored to serve as your representative, working hard to keep Everett safe, vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive for all. A big thank you to my friends and neighbors for their incredible support so far. I’m excited to meet even more of you in the weeks ahead!
