Meet Erica!

Erica’s roots run deep in Everett, and that connection shapes everything she does. Growing up here, graduating from Everett High School, EvCC, and the University of Washington, and raising her own family through the Everett Public Schools system, she’s not just familiar with the city; she lives it every day.

Her diverse background—from working in a mill to owning a small business downtown, educating young minds, and now leading a vibrant arts non-profit in the heart of downtown Everett—gives her an unmatched perspective on the daily realities of Everett’s residents.

Erica’s work ethic is unwavering. She’s known for rolling up her sleeves and getting things done, whether it’s balancing tight budgets or forging meaningful partnerships across city departments, unions, businesses, and families. Her collaborative spirit ensures that every voice is heard and that solutions reflect what’s best for the whole community.

But what really sets Erica apart is her heart. Her genuine love for Everett and the people who call it home is the driving force behind her dedication. She’s committed not just to preserving what makes Everett special but to making it an even better place for future generations to thrive.

Erica is a proven leader, whose experience has always been deeply entwined with her community involvement and desire to enhance Everett’s quality of life.

Her strong work ethic and connection to working-class families in our community come from growing up the daughter and granddaughter of union mill workers and construction trade workers and having worked in the mill herself. She is a former downtown business owner, worked with the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, and now manages a performing arts venue in the center of Everett’s burgeoning creative district, all of which aided in her deep understand of our community. Additionally, her more than twenty years as an early education and arts education specialist further shaped her ability to collaborate effectively and approach problems with creativity and compassion.

Her previous work in youth education brought impactful programs to life, including sensory-friendly productions, free in-school drama workshops, partnerships with the Imagine Children’s Museum, and collaboration with the City of Everett to establish Wintertide and the 4th of July Festival at Legion Park. Her strategic thinking and collaborative spirit have helped make Everett’s cultural offerings inclusive and accessible for thousands of students and families.

Over the past eight years as General Manager at the Everett Performing Arts Center, she has collaborated closely with various City departments, first responders, and downtown businesses. She skillfully manages complex budgets and contract negotiations, while overseeing venue operations, community rentals, and leading her team with both efficiency and care. Her leadership style—kind yet decisive—along with her unwavering commitment, consistently earns admiration and trust from all who work with her.

Her commitment to the vitality of Everett has been demonstrated through her years of community engagement and volunteer work.  She is on the Downtown Everett Association Board of Directors, Creative District Advisory Board, and volunteered with Everett Music Initiative, Everett Public Schools, and Snohomish County Point in Time. Her dedication to the city was recognized with the Wendt & Mayor’s Arts Awards, Arts Educator of the Year honor. This award celebrates her outstanding commitment to nurturing creativity and inspiring students through the arts.

Erica lives in the Delta Neighborhood and can frequently be spotted walking through North Everett with her Golden Retriever, Hugo.
